As a Barclays Penetration Tester, you will be expected to conduct penetration tests against a variety of technologies including web application, mobile and infrastructure as part of a team. Also you will be determining and defining appropriate testing scope work collaboratively with a variety of internal stakeholders to deliver high quality penetration tests. While providing reports which highlights and clearly articulate vulnerabilities and weaknesses to clients in terms they understand.

What will you be doing?

• Maintaining relevant skills with which to conduct penetration testing in a number of the following domains applications, Infrastructure, Mobile (iOS, Android) and code review
• Working independently or as part of a team on penetration tests
• Analysing and reviewing security issues identified
• Communicating security issues identified and mitigation/remediation options to development community
• Facilitating with global team and external entities to deliver Security Assurance services
• Providing regular assessment progress updates that include sufficient detail to convey work completed and upcoming activities



What we’re looking for:

• Pentesting skills and experience in application/infrastructure/mobile
• Understanding of the security mechanisms associated with Applications, Operating Systems, Networks, Databases, and Cloud technologies
• Wider SDL activities such as threat modelling and design review



Skills that will help you in the role:

• Understanding of information security frameworks and standards
• Programming / scripting skills
